Sure, the shark isn’t real, but what a great picture it made! The shark, so scary looking, that first frightens, is transformed into a safe haven, a nesting place.
Jesus speaks of God caring for birds: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
Jesus gives us peace, not as the world gives…
How does the world give?
in limited supply
to whet your appetite, not fulfill it
peace in the absense of storms, not during
as lack of anxiety (anxiety being the norm) not an alternative strong reality, whereas Jesus gives peace continually; it can be our reality and anxiety is the lack of receiving his peace.
So do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Cast all your cares on him, for he cares for you.
I Peter 5:7
Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Praise him no matter the circumstances and he will transform you.
Because he doesn’t give as the world gives.
I know it.
