Lifting hearts to God in thanks and praise.

Holley Gerth wrote about God’s Heart for You, her new book. She inspired me with the question, what word do you hear from God?

I heard a snatch of what I thought was a Psalm showing how God counsels me and I went digging through Psalms and Proverbs on a word search. This is what I came up with along those lines:

Psalm 18:32
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect

Psalm 25:4,5
Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;
guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Psalm 25:8-10
Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant.

Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you

Psalm 37:23
If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm

Psalm 50:23
He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.

Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

Psalm 119:9
ב Beth How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word

Psalm 119:30
I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws

Psalm 143:8
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Proverbs 3:6
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight

Proverbs 3:23
Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble;

Proverbs 4:11
I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.

Thanking God for being my counselor par excellence!
For the word
For friends he speaks through
For books he speaks through
For rest
For moments of beauty
For food that nourishes
For conflict he sees me through
