Lifting hearts to God in thanks and praise.

Chicken was on sale at Vons this week. The first time I shopped, it was sold out! So I wasn’t sure I’d get some, but this morning it was there and I bought 4 packages. Boneless skinless breast meat, and one thigh package.

This afternoon Dr. Helen Rhee came over and we made a marinade together. Here’s what we put in:
a pear, peeled and cut
a whole garlic, peeled cloves
a whole onion
half a can of crushed pineapple
Mixed together in food processor to tiny bits
then into the giant Tupperware bowl with
lots of soy sauce
half a can of coke
finely chopped green onions.
The breast meat we cut in half and put all the chicken in the bowl, stirring. My, but the marinade tasted good!

Tomorrow the chicken goes on the grill but the marinade stays in the bowl. We’ll make rice, and the Skripskys will bring salad and a plum filled dessert.
